First: please don’t reach for the glue
It’s tempting, but household and super glues are toxic, they don’t actually hold, and they warp the fit so badly that a simple fix can turn into a full remake. Pop the denture in a container, leave it exactly as it is, and let a professional handle it. A proper same-day repair is quick, safe, and far cheaper than starting over.
What “same-day” actually means
- Cracked or broken plates — usually repaired and polished the same day.
- A tooth that popped off — re-set and colour-matched so it disappears back into the set.
- A loose, rocking fit — a reline re-snugs the denture to your gums, often same-day.

A few habits that prevent the next break
